I have a nice brown Turkey fig tree in a pot. I get about six figs a year and very nice they are too. BUT I have never seen any flowers on my fig tree, just suddenly tiny figs appear. So...do figs flower and if so when and what do the flowers look like? and if figs don't flower, where do the tiny figs come from??

Oh goody I'm popular.....oh no..... Poplar, probably a dried up old twiggy one.....

hehe jno - you're on form today. You're right about this hectic new lifestyle, and I've never been one for travelling light so I ordered a Winnebago & here's what was just delivered !!!!!

I just haven't got the hang of interweb shopping......

I've got a good game we can play with AB Ed. It's hunt the Biddies. When we reach 500 we'll beggar off onto another post (bit like leeches) and Ed'll have to find us - and not allowed to use Search. he he

Okay ED ..we will spin a coin,if you win we just have 500 posts..if I win 1,000.posts.Ready..!!!..heads or tails.....spins coin...ed shouts.. Heads......oh sorry ed....its tails..What do you mean ..that was cheating..lol.(:)

Hi you lot. I sneaked out of bed early this morning whilst you were all sleeping and sloped off to the hairdressers for a blue rinse and a tight perm. Hope you have fed our dog and cat because I didn't have time this morning. Vinny you couldn't possibly have seen my tattoo - I was wearing my flannelette bloomers under my nightie.

By the way, folk, Vinny is trying to set up another small business venture at the back of the new grotto. Vinny, stick with the donkey cart and biddiebus driving, this new venture won't do your old heart much good....................

Vinny's new venture

See you all later. Time for my afternoon nap.

Oh yes, meant to say I'm a walnut tree and so is MrG. Actually the description suits MrG, but is nothing like me!

No hiding place anymore now the new search facility is here!!!

It's still best if we squat in an old post though gessoo as it's not quite so in your face as it would be on the first page. Is it your place next then?

neti lets try it now.... off you go then, hide somewhere and we'll all come and find you......

cypress tree, has me bang to rights.

Forgot to say thanks to shaneystar for her answer to my fig question and how nice to get a welcome message from Ed..

I love the hide and seek idea...can we trust you not to cheat Ed?

Prize of the day thought goes to jno's description of us as "bidouins"!!!

Hannah is now completely recovered and back to her own naughty self, the sole symptom remaining is an ability to produce the most amazing quantities of gas that smell like vinny's donkey on sprouts. Honestly last night I timed one and it lasted for 6 seconds!! (well you have to do something when there's nothing on the telly)

hi woofgang - glad Hannah is better. My little horror has just conned me into giving him his dinner an hour early by sitting by his bowl with that 'look'. I glanced at the clock, thought it said 4 o'clock....was he pleased with himself??

yes jno's posts have made me giggle today especially the last one on here new-search-facility

neti comes in tutting and shaking her head-

Will all biddybankers please take note that it is my donkey and not Vinny's. He borrowed it ages ago and I want it back in one piece and three legs.

quick tidy up and get the kettle on - smudge is on her way.....

Oh, what a journey!

Thank you Robinia & Neti - haven't been in much lately, so have just been catching up with all my e-mails & found two from you notifying me of the move - here so thank you both again for that! -xx-

Well I'm glad to see you've all settled in very nicely! What a great AB Ed we have, allowing us to continue meeting in a cosy corner!

It's Mr Smudge's 60th birthday today & all the family are due round shortly. We all went to an early birthday celebration for him in a Village Hall on Sunday & our two daughters arranged for a lone piper in full regalia (probably less the underpants), to walk in half way through playing "happy birthday to you", etc. He was so surprised & it didn't take long for his eyes to fill with tears. (The reason for the piper - he was born on Burn's night & loves to hear the bag pipes being played).

Better be off to put some lippy on - see you later!

Just read your post Robinia - really made me larf - bless you! -x-

a little something for Mr Smudge

Ah, I've just closed the door behind me (on the last page )!

Thank you jno - very kind of you (although I can't open the page - sorry)!

Can't resist quickly popping in & back out again - lippy half on!

Thank you so much IAP - he's so cute & looks like the Piper he had on Sunday! I'll show Mr S in a minute! -xx-

Glad you made it smudge - we're doing our best to make it cosy here and Vinny is rapidly filling the place with empties again. gessoo has adopted a crazy cat and dog and I think it's time she cleaned their hairs up, they're starting to roll around the floor in little clouds.... or is it one of Vinny's false beards?

Have a lovely evening & a very happy 60th birthday to mr smudge!

IAP - just shown Mr Smudge your wee man & it made him laugh! He said to say: 'Thank You very much for that & very kind of you". -xx-

(I've just saved it to my Incredimail too - ta muchly).

Thank you Robinia - it's nice to be back in the warm with you all!

I'll pass your birthday message onto Mr S right now - thank you too my dear! -x-
