Sloop, "the Site Rules", as they are known to scholars, exist in the mind of Ed, who follows Bishop Berkeley's theory that something exists only because it's in the mind of God at the time (or something like that). If Ed stops thinking about them, they cease to exist. And, of course, they are to be interpreted on common law principles ;are they useful, for,if not, they may be ignored as not relevant;with some French influence viz " Don't care what it is, we won't follow it, if we don't like it"
