Has anyone bought one of these ?
Could you please tell me the size of it? I don't know why they don't state it! I have mailed M&S but they haven't replied yet.
Or has anyone seen the same thing elsewhere? Thanks!

Song for Vinny
My days of youth are over
My torch of life is out
What used to be my sex appeal
Is now my water spout
Time was when of it's own accord
'twould from my trousers spring
But now I have a full-time job
To find the blasted thing
It used to be embarrassing
The way it would behave
When early every morning
It stood and watched me shave
But as old age approaches
It sure give me the blues
To see it hang it's withered head
And watch me shine my shoes.

Hi guys, sorry I'm late, but me being from Barcelona and everything I got the M&S thing all wrong and instead I asked a police officer to please direct me to the old S&M. We'll talk of it no more. Let me just say that here's another nice mess you've got me into.
Why are we here...? I thought at first we were playing a hiding game, but... this thread is just as easily detected as the other one was.
The IKEA video reminded me of my own humble abode, Vinny... To answer your question, my local library doesn't close until 9 or 10 in the evening, but we are on short computer rations. About ten years ago, one of our ministers said of the internet that in her opinion it was "really just another fad" (!!!), and librarians seem to hold that opinion to this day. But there are internet cafes, computers at McDonald's, computers at 7-Eleven... I use it as an 'excuse' for the exercise I so badly need, and so I roam this land from one computer to another.
Shaney, I 'got' the picture and thanked you back at the old thread, hope you caught it. And now this - did the vet prescribe any medication as well or won't that be necessary?
There must be a thingy thing going around, Jude, I've got one on my back, a mole behaving badly. I was planning to do something about it, until I read what you wrote about having to keep it dry. No showering for 48 hours - well I guess at least I'll have the computer room to myself, then...

Hi Neti, thanks for explaining!
No I was just using that expression figuratively, thinking of Manuel, the waiter at Fawlty Towers. Basil used to slap him every time he himself (Basil) made a mistake, and explain to the guests that "He's from Barcelona", as if that would account for Manuel's mistakes (that were in fact Basil's, in the first place.)
But we had a summer house outside Benidorm when I was a child. Been there?

jno, I think you should definitely risk it at Mrten Trotzig's Alley! The natives of Old Town are very experienced in these matters, they search and empty the narrow alleys of tourists every night. Just give yourself over to the experience, maybe write a few postcards while you're waiting, you'll be fine.
So you've posted your mug shots... I was gonna say I'd never do that (because I can't quite shake the feeling we're not alone here), but that was before I saw Vinny's work. Vinny, if I do post a photo from my long gone years of youth, will you warhol me please? I haven't quite decided yet, but... that was so appealing I'm really tempted. Nobody would know it's me anyway, I'd choose a very old photo... (talking myself into it, as you can hear.)
Saturday I'll be going to the theatre with some friends to see Long Day's Journey Into Night. I've actually never seen it, so I'm excited. The Royal Dramatic Theatre is a fine place with a long and proud history. Greta Garbo studied there before going to America and Ingmar Bergman was once a Managing Director. And the place has a few ghosts of it own, too, Harriet Bosse being one of them. She was an actress, and also one of author August Strindberg's three wives. Hope she's there this Saturday, rattling her chains or whatever actresses do as ghosts...?

evening one and few....hi MsSweden, glad you've found us! I'm glad it's only threads we have to travel between & not computers as you do. Have you been observing our bizarre Biddyness for long? I've often wondered whether we were the subject of some psychologist's studies somewhere....I'm sure we'd give them plenty to analyse...
I see Vinny's absent...hope he's not stuck in the lift. I think we'll rename him DaSprout & it's everything to do with the wee green veg!

Sorry DaSwede I was not being deliberately obtuse, I thought for a moment that you had lived at some point in barcelona - actually when I went home in the mid 70's I couldn't understand why Manuel said he was from Barcelona to explain his idioticness as the people from bara are really very well educated and intelligent and so very polite.
Yes, also my little island does close down until next May, we have no direct flights to anywhere (well to the mainland - and sometimes even then we have to fly to Mallorca first) We love it now, it's sunny, warm and quiet and we get to meet each other leisurely. I of course, do this all year, but others work!!!!

Hi Robinia. Yes I must admit I've been eavesdropping for a while (not regularly though, just now and then.) I really enjoyed the AnswerBank and asked myself what would the ABers do if they wished to chat...? Well that was a no-brainer - click Most Recently Answered, of course. (And there have been several allusions to BiddyBank in Suggestions.) Well, anyway, at first I was just listening in a little to see what was going on. I had a few laughs! But little by little it made me feel like a perv to eavesdrop like that, especially as I felt I knew jno a little (from the 'real' threads), and so I imposed on myself to either stop spying or ask if I could join you all now and then - and that's how I discovered I couldn't stop searching y'all out...
Good evening all and to our Swedish nightingale ...glad you got the picture .Shaney is fine again now ...well he would be dining on rice and scrambled egg and a plaice fillet for his tea.I took him on the pier this morning and looked at me as if to say "Wot no swimming"? He keeps hiding in the garden on his mobile to Charlie begging him to swap a hot sausage roll for a plate of bland kibble.
I am still waiting for Vinny Warhol to do my picture ....it's the one of the tin of tomato soup .I feel a bit red in the face today. Too busy in the lift with Miss Brahams I suppose !
