Has anyone bought one of these ?
Could you please tell me the size of it? I don't know why they don't state it! I have mailed M&S but they haven't replied yet.

Or has anyone seen the same thing elsewhere? Thanks!

Just bright, breezy & cloudy here at the moment but I see on the weather report there's a massive band of storms moving across.....poor shaney's shaney, (hope he's well)..... looks like
a plastic macs day

tut! chas gets it wrong again....
he'll be all over the tabloids tomorrow.....

hi Vinny ....I'm still hovering around.....(no, not hoovering) doing some virtual shopping, it's cheaper than the real thing.....

So sorry about your sister, she was far too young.... as I've probably mentioned before I lost a lovely friend in 2000 to the same horrible thing, aged 54. Definitely best to let it all out now & then. I daresay between us on here & our collective 5000 years we've been through lots of storms. Hope your skittles buddy is ok.

it's gawn all stormy looking here now..... :o/

Afto all So sorry to hear about your sister Vinny and here's me worrying about a little bit of infection in my hand. (Had to go to the DRI this morning, and I am now on antibiotics - so that should clear things up.) It's a lovely day here no rain and hardly any wind but apparently it's changing again tomorrow. I'm in a playing Keane mood today. Expect it's the 'feel sorry for myself mood' Im in. I've asked my son if he will go with me to see them next Feb. in Nottingham. Hope he takes me up on the request, he says he'll let me know. Hope eveybody is having a good day with now aches or pains. Seee you later probably bye for now x :o) x
Hello crinklies and a crinkly day it is too ... pouring down off and on and a thunderstorm that woke me at an unearthly hour.
So I had to get up,put my teeth in and show a brave face whilst putting the buckets in position.Luckily the wind was blowing the rain in the right direction so our indoor water feature didn't materialise today after all.

That is very sad for you Vinny ..and it's always worse near Christmas when you tend to think of this sort of thing more. than normal.I lost my Mum and my sister within six months of each other ...long time ago now but they are always in your thoughts ..your loved ones .

Right ..buck up ....enjoy what's left of Sunday folks and I will see you all anon xxx
Thats very sweet of you all.
I shall wake you all up at 6.30 with a nice cuppa tea....catch you later dudes.....
YO ..xxx..(:o)

hahahaha jno...I see shaney and robinia are enjoying themselfs again....tis a bit dark out there init....had a few flashes during the night...but lucky enough the police didnt catch me...hehe.!
yo (:o)
Good morning biddypals - oh gosh I'm shattered having daughter back for 3 days - the place is a mess - piles of washing up - I can't believe I missed all this???

jude take care of your hand, behave now and stop jigging about with all this dancing - time to be staid like the rest of us!!!

Why is Vinny always up and about so early??

Am off to get daughter sorted before she goes back tomorrow. See you all soon xx
I had one of those washing machines 43 years ago jno.It was when I had my youngest son ,up to then it had been the Tabletop wringer ,the Boiler and a scrubbing brush(not forgetting the Dolly!!!! LOL)
jno mine is modern washing for over here!!

Hi Dolly what are you doing up at this time of day??I remember my mum having a twin tub 45yrs ago and we were posh, but what a nuisance they were, didn't rinse so had to drag sopping wet and hot sheets into sink for good rinsing and then back into spin dryer part, oh luxury!!! No wonder we all have arms like wrestlers!!!
Although this isn't a piccy of Ibiza, they did in fact wash like this when I first arrived

laundry in olden times

morning wishy washies....hope you all are in upbeat mode today....

I say, Dolly that was a bit posh for 40 odd yrs ago - you should have seen the first washer I had given to me when we were first married. Electric wringer job which used to shimmy it's way across the floor....I've since made it a compulsory requirement on all my new washers.... ;o)

neti you're right about the twin tubs not rinsing....blankets & flannelette sheets - oooph! these young 'uns today, don't know they're born....... mumble....
Gosh ....how modern ..twin tubs !
We don't know how lucky we are these days with automatics and tumble dryers.
We used to have an old boiler thing and that bloomin' mangle in the scullery .It used to be freezing in the winter standing there turning the handle . The place used to stink of bleach of a Monday and mother used to scrub the boiler suits on her hands and knees in the yard .I have just discovered with thanks to Cetti who posted the link somewhere that you can still get ...blue bags and starch ..I'm all of a quiver now !

Oh don't start Robinia on blue bags!!!!!
Question Author
oh heck....stand by to be blinded by shaney's brilliant bloo'd bloomers!
Just giving my opinions of latest films:

Casino Royale - fell asleep!
The Devil wears Prada - amusing
Pierrepointe - the last hangman - very touching and good
Click - daft
Anyone else agree???
Question Author
sorry neti, if the film industry relied on me they'd have folded about 25 years ago....very rarely watch a new film nowadays, they're almost always a disappointment. I usually only watch films I've been lent or had recommended by people with the same taste.
I'd sooner watch Shawshank or Bridges of Madison County for the umpteenth time....
