I have a thick, very sticky white substance on some of my conservatory plants. I presume it is from an insect as it doesn't look like mould. I have sprayed it with insecticide but nothing shifts it. Any ideas welcome. Should I get rid of the plants?

Why thanks jno. I feel very honoured, you being such a great photographer. Marvellous what a humble little Nikon Coolpix 2200 can do, eh. xx

Of course, my artistic talents are wonderful too ;o)

goodness, I have been asterixed twice this week. Once was a link that contained the words 'property++ID' and the other was about '1970*++****'. Remove the plus signs to see where I went wrong. Golly, I shall be in trouble
even that didn't work...OK, it was in the 1970s and it was a musical/cultural style that rhymed with sunk... Bah, I am off to bed.

morning tout le monde...lovely sunny day, birds are singing, the lawnmowers are whirring in the distance, & I'm rattling with pain killers & anti-histamines (had the bad head back yesterday, so please let it have had it's bout out now).
Better pop to the shops before Jude gets there...oh no, I forgot, she won't be able to afford cakes this week....I'll have them keep a swiss bun behind the counter for you Jude, I know, my generosity exceeds my good looks.

beautiful pics gessoo you're further on than Derbyshire blooms, I don't think ours know what season it is yet. We promise not to take your son hostage, hope he has a good weekend.

lol jno... I'm very tempted to write a string of swear words so I can be in the asterisk gang too but knowing my luck they'd all stay in & I'd have to do community service in the world cup section.

expect Vinny will down the beach in his speedos all weekend, I'll keep my eye on the cam....I can see your tinythingy today btw Vinny, mmmm, I rather like the maximise option...

stands back & takes a run at the submit button >>>>

I think I've finally shifted the week long headache......bad news - now I feel as though I don't have a head, I'm all spaced out.... so I've tried to remedy that by being busy this am - they say we're having showers this pm. I got chatted up by a pensioner in his flourescent braces & bike clips at the shops, probably 'cos I had mine on too.....& I've done a bit of pruning int' garden

phew

Hi Robinia pleased you're feeling a bit better today. I once went to a chateau in the Loire Valley where there was a garden like yours! It was a lovely trip. We stayed in the city of Tours and had a ball in the old town at night. We also visited the vinyards and wine caves and did some sampling - verrry nice! :o)

My Dad told me a joke today only I don't know if I should tell it or not it's a bit near the knuckle. Oh well here goes.

This couple went to bed for the first time and the woman said "OOOh you're well endowed" and the man said "Stop pulling my leg!"

ooh-err Jude better post that one over in B&S and pretend it's a sociological obsrvation
