I have a thick, very sticky white substance on some of my conservatory plants. I presume it is from an insect as it doesn't look like mould. I have sprayed it with insecticide but nothing shifts it. Any ideas welcome. Should I get rid of the plants?

ooooh i'nt it 'ot?! have you been out grumbling about the heat? we have to keep up our grumpy image you know. Even the birds have been asleep all aftenoon & now they've come alive & are feeding like mad.... poor little things, I bet their eggs are boiled today.

lol Vinny I'll get one of those to pay the milkman in - he'd probably faint, he's a bit shy.

Flound this

FLOUND - Comes from the verb to find combines with the noun 'Flounder'- Commonly used by old ladies who flounder about whilst looking for something!!!

Went on a wonderful walk yesterday to Wiverton Nature Reserve. We have lived here all these years and it's only 15 miles away and yet we have never visited it. It was just so beautiful. Shaney - have you been there. It is mainly heath and grassland and is quite high, overlooking the sea (which was so blue yesterday).

The result has been the most awful allergy problems with hayfever, etc. that I have ever experienced, probably not helped by the fact that I picked a bunch of beautiful grasses to bring home. Have been awake all night, hardly able to breath and with a throat that feels closed up. Now have earache - moan, groan.........................
