Why was my post moved?
14 Answers
I posted a video of French military incompetance, entiltled 'For those that like Military Gaffes'.
This was moved to the sub section 'Property', which comes under 'Home and Garden'.
If it was in the wrong section, why was it moved to that one?, seems a bit daft to me, unless of course, our wonderful editor thinks that the word 'Gaffe', is a building.

This is a question , not a suggestion but I am assuming that it has made it's way to suggestions because it did not relate directly to Body and Soul. How odd though that so many irrelevant questions in B&S are allowed to regularly stand. I would much rather read the post by Lonnie about military gaffes than see the offensive and abusive comments which were made to me a short while back by another ABer , which were removed but for some reason known only to the ed , have been put back again. Hmm. I don't quite understand that but hey , who I am to question what stays and goes ? As for the sarcasm you refer to , the answers I can see on this post seem to either be in jest or borne out of bewilderment. In my case , it was just a joke. I have no ill feeling towards the ed whatsoever and my comment was meant as a joke. I don't doubt that the ed has a difficult job and I certainly wouldn't want to trawl through the posts on here. This is a free website let's not forget and that's why I just go with the flow and try to abide by whatever rules are set. It does get frustrating though when you see good posts disappear and yet abusive , sexually oriented or ridiculous threads are allowed to stand.
So here's my suggestion for the ed :
What about giving us a miscellaneous category - as suggested before - for all the bits and bobs that don't fit anywhere else ? I'm sure that it would get more traffic than the category 'seasonal' as it could cover a multitude of posts such as handy hints from other Abers , greetings etc. That way suggestions could be kept purely for that - suggestions - whilst all the other questions which don't quite fit could be redirected to the bits and bobs bit.

enigma, I'm guessing that such a Misc category would immediately develop into a chatterbank. This would have the merit of taking some of the strain off B&S, leaving the way clear for genuine health questions; but I suspect the Ed is reluctant to start a new category so vague as to be open to misuse.
I think lector is surely right to suggest that being sarcastic at the Ed's expense (in Lonnie's original question rather than your post) is not the way to get an answer from her.

Very intersting post by engma, and some good points.
jno, just like to point out, a few months ago, I made a suggestion, which had very good support, about a section or subsection for carers, I don't mind that we didn't get one, but it didn't even get an answer, neither did the email I sent.
But as my post was moved to suggestions. just maybe, the ed can answer it.
