As a supposedly reputable and responsible organisation, how on earth can you justify allowing the amount of obscene abuse appearing of late in the Chatterbank forum ?

You have removed the abiity of the sane contributors to moderate the threads themselves with the removal of the report this answer button. For what good reason ?

Relegating a 'username' to the dungeon seems to have precious little effect, with the majority of the offenders being quite happy to boast of having many alternatives to use..........

Surely it is noy beyond your capabilities to devise more punative measures for those causing ost offence ?

And to indicate that you are actually reading these posts wouldn't hurt, either !

gravy im not sure what youre talkin about but i dont like the use of children in abusive threads .tho after feena im priobably second most abused user on here in that way.many have called me a paedo and others make fun of me being seperated from my kids.

Even boo.

We all have rants here.but theres a fifference between a rant and disgusting child abuse posts and telling folk to abuse their own kids or others is sick.

Right, Legend. Pay attention .............

1. Wardy writes vile and ................(add your own description) comments. He should be banned for that.

2. Just because Answerbank staff see fit not to remove his comments, should NOT then carte blanche for everyone else to try to get away with using similar terms in their messages. They should be banned for that.

3. Repeatedly bringing up Wardy in order to justify or minimise your own bad behaviour just doesn't work. It just illustrates the paucity of your argument and takes it to the level of the playground.

Likewise saying its ok for wardy to say such things as hes been attacked also lacks any validity.

You are involved in posting self-agrandising, self-justifying, woe-is-me, everybody picks on me, pompous, rambling, I'm-a-bit-of-a-lad threads.

You are involved in posting inappropriate responses, hogging topics, ruining threads and generally being a berk.

You are involved in posting offensive words and then runing round the playground pointing your fingers shouting 'well he said it first, sir'.

You are involved in swamping the CB with posts arguing with anyone who disagreed with you in a previous thread.

I'm not dictating to anyone how CB should be run. I think you'll find, if you take the trouble to read across the topics today, that there is a general consensus on this, and I am by no means the first to post on his topic today.

And finally, the coup de grace, hinting that I am hiding behind a different user name. There is only this one. I think if I did try to switch identities I'd trip myself up straightaway. And anyway, why would I need a different name. I'm only telling the truth.

I level my criticism at those who are spoiling things for the rest of us.

I have never ever found humour in or made jokes about you being seperated from your children Legend! Do not drag me into yet another row with you, it's pointless and a waste of time.

The answers on here re this subject go on and on and disappear up their own end. I haven't been registered for a year yet. I do not know what it was like on here historically, and I am mainly referring to new cb, but I had noticed a surge in disgusting posts a week or so ago.

It is my choice, and I do choose, to switch off and find something else to do. I do not get involved in that stuff.

However, this choice means that, while I am aware of nasty insults almost relentlessly aimed at one user (you know who you are) I am unable to defend you.

I have however, posted that certain posters threads or comments vanish for no good reason, and certainly do not include anything abusive. It is a mystery why the editors choose, and can it be anything else, to leave utter filth remain for those who may otherwise enjoy ab to stumble upon and feel sickened.

The multiple name issue is a smokescreen. Behind one persons name(s) lies one person. Be they nice or nasty. And they choose which they wish to be on here, with the advantage that they have anonimity.

The only answer is that those running this show get their act together. It can be good on here. It must surely be in your power ed to keep it that way, as it is in the power, currently, of the nasty to make it bad.
