A choose to refuse?

An Aber has the option to refuse any more answers if they feel a question has been sufficiently answered. But what about someone who is getting abuse from certain users. Surely the best option would be to bar those abusive posters from coming onto their threads? If I posted a question and someone kept giving me abuse, surely it would be a useful facility if I could "choose to refuse" answers from that particular person, whilst still allowing the participation of those who wish to contribute to my thread? A bit like the facility you have on your BT landline, where you can ban the last caller!

That would cut out a lot of the abuse that goes on here and and might even free up some of your time, too, Ed!

The biggest laugh I ever had on here was when "kjc" appeared on her own (Daniela's) thread saying, "Best thread of the day!"

Earlier on in this thread, people can see that "Charisse" cast doubt upon my claims of having received abuse, suggesting that I am only seeking attention - something which she was "no longer prepared to give me".........

Interesting then that she has since posted 3 more comments! A little too interested in this thread, menthinks.
Also, her tone has altered pitch slightly. Considering I've made "false allegations", she is being remarkably polite, in stark contrast to last night when she kept jumping on this thread every minute or so, and coming out with several nasty names that I have allegedly been called.

Her defence has more holes than a piece of cartoon cheese. !!!

Obviously it's hard without both sides of the story as I previously stated there's always two sides etc...but I just think you go about your business as normal as the Ed has already said he/she won't get involved with anything off this site. If you feel that the abuser/abusers continue on here then just email Ed each time and if they're breaching Site Rules they'll probably get banned eventually. (Might take a while but Ed does seem to get around to it eventually).

Thanks China - and you are absolutely right. I never get involved with other people arguments and always make up my own mind about people. For instance, despite the constant exhanges between Leg and Knobby, and Dot, I get on perfectly well with all of them, and will not take sides. Perhaps I shouldn't have been so "open" this morning, but I am sick of all the abuse and decided to fight fire with fire. I'm sure people will make up their own minds who is at fault here. And I'm fairly certain that I am not the only person who has come under attack by the aforementioned indivdual.

Oh I must stress that there has been no unpleasantness off this site. I exchanged pleasant emails with you know who until the day she emailed me complaining about my flirting with leg. I responded to that email, putting her right on a few things that she had misunderstood. We have not exchanged an email since. All of the abuse is taking place on this site, and so I think having a thread where you can prevent certain people from entering the conversation is a wise idea. It's not the same as banning people from the site, just banning certain pests from entering your own threads.

Why would I just pluck Daniela's name from nowhere and accuse her without good reason?

I just ask that no-one takes sides, and if you see me being abused on a thread, please do not respond in any way to the person posting the abuse. Best way is just to ignore, then they can move on and pick their next victim.

I must say that for a greenie, it surprises me that you should choose to come and give such a strong opinion on a subject about which you know none of the background information. I posted on the 'good morning' thread yesterday, (and my fcbk profile page) that I was going out for the day.
I came back late last night to an email from someone to say have a look at the suggs page. So I did.

I am very disappointed in NoMercy. Here for only 4 weeks, and yet trying to work out who is who. It's usually the oldies trying to suss out the newbies, not the other way round.............lol.

I'm afraid though that you have got it wrong. I am non of these people you claim that I am.

I put up with this abuse for weeks and never said anything. I gave Daniela (KJC) the chance to back off and she couldn't leave it alone! Why was kjc so quick to back off when I threatened to copy and paste the email? Why did Charisse (with whom I've never had convos before) jump on this thread and start calling me obscene names?
And this all started when Daniela sent me a psycho message warning me not to flirt with leg.

Daniela can appear as herself and as an alias on the same morning thread, trying to convince people that they are two different people, but that just insults others' intelligence. My blood was boiling when Sgt. Rock was getting accused of stalking, and I regret not speaking up sooner. One person accuses someone of stalking, you take it with a pinch of salt. Two people accuse someone of stalking....... ????????

Once again, I ask people not to take sides. I will no longer be responding to the abuse. And this is the very last time I am ever going to check this thread. If people don't believe me, that's up to them. But just ask yourself this........What could I possibly have to gain by making false accusations?
