If a question is good enough to stir a healthy debate and merit several good replies, why suspend or banned the questioner? I understand banning users like Bimlegend and Bamknobby, but, not all users are out to stir or cause trouble.
I think SOME should be given a chance. Perhaps there should be a bit of convenient leniency? :-)
you give them the benefit of the doubt and they throw it in your face by becoming abusive when you are not expecting it. people that meter out the abuse on the levels we have read about on here clearly have some serious issues that sympathy wont solve.
New entrants are probably looked at more carefully i think but ANYONE, know matter how long they have been on AB for, can be, at the discretion of the Ed and mods on the site, be suspended and even banned if they misbehave or are deemed to be out of order with what they say or do.
Hi girly30- suspensions can either be because of the content of a post or because someone in a position of influence recognises a new poster as a returning banned user. I notice from some of your threads since you joined that you seem interested in suspensions -for example you popped in when Freundanslip was suspended. If your threads are fine and if you have no connection with banned user or don't cause suspicion with posts (for example by hinting you may be fooling the ed in some way) then you should be okay
@ Shooloof, why have you posted this in here and also started a new thread with a rather ridiculous statement and then say Byyyyeeeee after it then promptly come in here and spout off again? Just curious!
Hello factor30.Thank you for the explanation. I wasn't aware that someone was watching everything I typed on this site. I can now understand what you mean about suspensions. Youhave pointed out that I questioned suspensions; yes, two of my comments (out of 20) mentioned that. But half of my responses on AB have been in Quizzes and Puzzles. I have only been on here since Christmas Day
