of course the editorial team are aware of the moderators, they appoint them!
i like the way the new editorial team are more involved and out and about
Question Author
as an aber ,im am more aware of the moderators.
That'll be because there wasn't any mods until about a year ago, and people used to complain that any old abuse could be posted out of office hours and it would go undealt with until the next working day.

There also seems to have been a change of ownership of the site within the last couple of years. (well the domain records are now different to when I first joined)
Question Author
thanks chuck,,,,,,,,,,, so, out with the old, in with the new ?
they've got more staff now so perhaps they have a bit more time to chat. It used to be just a nice American lady working on her own, as I recall.
Thankfully there is a degree of control otherwise eventually AB would suffer the same fate as SAB. It is too good a site to be lost to the Trolls and abusers.
More importantly, what do you think about these changes Anne? For better or worse?
jno if they have more time to chat maybe we dont need moderators,i for one are not in favour of moderators, power corrupts.
Question Author
in truth ed. im not sure .
I am reliably informed that moderators have slightly less power than an electric toothbrush.
Jno is correct.

''i for one are not in favour of moderators''

lol... of course you're not...
Question Author
i suspect jno, they have more power than an electric toothbrush !
I agree totally with anne......over the past 18 months, the Editorial staff have become more involved in threads by contributions and also by expressing opinions.
This, in my opinion is not the function of the EDITORIAL STAFF which should solely be to flush out unacceptable troll activity.
jasmin74 - Odd that.

Question, would anyone else return every day to a club which kicked them out on sight?

Spare
sorry to break the news, Sqad, but the function of the editorial staff is determined by... the editorial staff. That's what editors are paid for.

Try telling the editor of The Times what his job is and see how receptive he appears.
Well I like personally like the fact that the editiors talk to us and with us as well and can express their opinions. As long as they are impartial (and I think they are, although I think some others disagree)

The site has got far better than it was a year ago.
At least you now know what your job description is...

''Editor is a heavy metal band from Slovakia. Their music style can be defined as thrash metal (in early years) or post-thrash (later).''
