I’m reading vogue magazine at the moment
I don’t normally buy magazines but it was down to £2 and I thought I’d give it a look
It’s sumptuous and I know what I’d get if I won the lottery but it’s not my usual read and I guess I’m not their target readership

I used to get Marie Claire magazine, but got fed up with wading through pages of glossy ads to find the one interesting article in there.

I'm currently reading 'I'm Absoutely Fine: a Manual for Imperfect Women' which is quite fun, and reassuring.
Fingers in the Sparkle Jar: A Memoir

Chris Packham.

I don't buy magazines any longer. I used to buy Good Housekeeping every month but I got bored with it and stopped buying it.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire... and Cannibals and Cult Leaders.
Golden prey by John Sandford
A long way from home by Peter Carey
Suppose it makes a change from'What are you having for dinner?'
Country Homes and Interiors magazine to get some ideas for our bungalow we are going to have built. Lots of " what? that much for a kitchen??" "Have you seen the price of these taps??!" and other expletives not allowed on AB. Seriously even if I won the Lottery I would not pay those prices, some rich people are getting seriously ripped off.

I’ll do that at teatime just for you
At the moment, other than the posts on AB I’m reading Pygmalion trying to learn my lines

I’ve just finished The God Delusion and I’m thinking of re-reading A Handmaids Tail again.
One of the best books Ive read this year was "No time for goodbye" by Linwood Barclay. It was a real page turner.Ive just finished "The couple next door", I cant remember who it is by because Ive already given it to a friend to read.

cassa "The Handmaid's Tale" Don't annoy Aunt Lydia :-)
I used to buy quite a few magazines...mostly decorating and food. But they got to expensive and took over my storage.
I don't think magazines are dying out though. Go into any large WHSmith, and there is a wall of ever increasing titles...depending on current trends. There must be about 8-10 new vegan titles along with a number of lifestyle titles geared towards "yummy mummys".
I'm currently reading a mindlessly entertaining Phil Rickman/Merrily Watkins series book. But I've got several nutrition books I want to tackle, including The Complete Guide to Fasting by Jason Fung.
'MUSIC 1-LXX1V' by August Kleinzahler
The poems of P.J. Kavanagh; 'Life Before Death'
The Bible
I didn't enjoy the Handmade's Tail
Almost finished reading The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. Was given it from a friend and wasn't sure about it, but thoroughly enjoying it. Don't read magazines unless in the doctor or dentist's waiting rooms.
The Invention of Russia by Arkady Ostrovsky.
Is that the one where she became a WAG.......
Question Author
My next book is a biography- the real queen of France
