muahahahahaha...R.A.B is someone in the black family...whether it be regalus or someone else...the locket was discovered in the 5th book when they were cleaning out the house...if you recall...there was a locket nobody could open...and kreacher stole it and hid it...:)..or so i hope my theory is correct

Nobody seems to be bring up the fact that Dumbledore's whole thing is the Phoenix. What if he came back like a phoenix? Its probably a long shot but you never know. It took guts to kill of the best of the best character in her book but if it weren't for him dieing then there would be no plot for the last book. There is still a lot to be done and she needed some way to get harry away from the school in order to fit it all into the book. I'm just saying she has a lot of lose ends to tie up and with lessons and school activities it  would have been one huge complicated mess of a book. I think however that somehow snape is god and dumbledore while be brought back one way or another.

4 dumbledore having plans he prob does but also in the books the pictures talk so he'll prob give advice etc. that way.

i agree that snape isnt evil

4 harry being a horcux it could go either was cuz hes gonna kill the horcuxs first & then the soul still in the body but if he kills himself he cant kill voldemort but he could kill voldemorts body then himself and sacrifice himself (the hero thing)

Okay. Here's another thought.

I want your input.

Harry's death was the death for Voldemort's final horcrux. Correct?

Harry wasn't killed, and Voldemort was weakened a great deal. Would he have been strong enough to withstand another killing and to rip his soul into another piece?

Maybe he MEANT to set out and make 7 horcruxes, but he only ended up with 6 because of Harry.

Also, in my opinion, harry isnt a horcrux because why would Voldemort be trying to kill his own horcrux in all of these books?

Maybe there are only 6 and he's still trying to get harry to create the 7th.

yuh.... i was just wondering about the R.A.B thing, maybe its one of the old members of the order of the phoenix, lol i forgot what dumbledore's brothers name was, but i thinking maybe someone like him... cos maybe he has the same magical talent as dumbledore

I think that Dumble dore had no idea snape made an unbreadble vow to Narcissa about Malfoy and becuase u can't break an unbreakable vow u have to fullfill it. Narcissa made Snape promise to do Malfoys job if somehow Malfoy was to fail and in order to keep his (snapes) cover snape had to kill dumbledore...thats what i thinks anyways

The reason is the letter said dark lord and only his death eaters call hime that. Also we have seen the real horcrux(however u spell) in The Order of the Pheonix.  When the were cleaning out the cabinet, they found a heavy locket no one could open.  That's the REAL horcrux.

I also think Snape is really good because Dumbledore said before he died "Severus...please..." he knew he was going to die, so he had to keep a spy that Voldemort told everything to.

Not to be repetitive, but I, too, agree that Snape is NOT evil.  I believe that he was spying for the Dumbledore and made the Unbreakable Vow so he wouldn't blow his cover.  I also think that he fulfilled the oath by doing what Malfoy set out to do (kill AD), which kept him alive.  I also think that when Dumbledore and Snape were arguing, it was about the Unbreakable Vow that he had made to Narcissa.  Maybe Snape told Dumbledore about it and Dumbledore probably instructed him to carry it out if it came to that.  Snape, being loyal to Dumbledore, was probably refusing to do it.  When Snape enters the tower, Dumbledore simple says, "Severus... please..." as soon as he walks in, so he wouldn't do something stupid like attack the Death Eaters.  Also, Snape was very good at Occlumency.  He would be able to read Dumbledores mind... even if it was saying, "kill me. save yourself." There was definitely a moment where Snape was staring at Dumbledore, awaiting his orders (in his mind).

As for Harry being a Horcrux, I don't think that is true, simply because Dumbledore said it himself that there was too much LOVE in Harry's soul for Voldemort to even stay in his body for too long in "Order of the Pheonix" so, how could he have a part of his soul in Harry at all?

I don't know if Dumbledore is going to come back or not or have the slightest idea of who R.A.B. is... but I am anxious to find out.  Great book.

Sorry, JDongol, I just can't imagine Dumbledore's brother playing too pivotal a role in volume 7. Aberforth is not the sharpest tool in the shed and prefers goats to saving the planet. Here's a quote from GoF:

'An excellent point,' said Professor Dumbledore. 'My own brother, Aberforth, was prosecuted for practising inappropriate charms on a goat. It was all over the papers, but did Aberforth hide? No, he did not! He held his head high and went about his business as usual! Of course, I'm not entirely sure he can read, so that may not have been bravery ...'

PS: Has anybody else noticed the Welshness of Aberforth's name?
