Last year my Gtec motor went. I phoned up customer services and they said I had to replace the whole base unit. I had to keep the battery dirt bin and handle. Ok no problem I did that. 7 months on not working sometimes can't get it to go on. I phoned up customer services they said the on/off switch has gone you need to replace base unit. They just said sorry new base unit only guaranteed 6 months. So just waste the rest of base motor wheels brush etc and replace again doesn't make sense to me I'm thinking end of Gtec for me.

I'm happy with my GTech hand held but disappointed in the attitude you've experienced. Don't know if other companies are any better

How much does the replacement cost? A replacement brush unit for my Beldray was 20 quid.

£73 for complete base that's motor everything just for a switch you have to replace the lot. Already did that a few months ago.
