What's the conventional term used to say "I've cropped the image of this painting, but only slightly"?

Here's an example:

1) The Mona Lisa

2) The Mona Lisa (detail)

3) ...but how do I describe this kind of cut?

I can think of ways to say it, but my question is What would be the conventional term used in the art world. How would they phrase it in a catalogue from an exhibition.

Thanks!

Oh that's lovely Kit ..Someone sent me a Youtube thingy a while back of something similar .A lady with a lion she had raised as a cub but I don't know what happened to it .Probably got lost when we went into meltdown .
It's been a lovely day here .I've lounged about in the garden all day ! I did mow the lawn though and fiddled around as you do .
Make the most of it though . According to the forecast it ain't gonna last .
Look out Vinny ,
they're right behind you ...

Yes! That's the one .His face is just lovely isn't it ?
The lady who looks after him has rescued a lot of big cats in Columbia some of which had belonged to drug dealers who had them as "exotic" pets .They are all at an animal sanctuary that she runs ,about 800 all told !
good morning...

....ok, stop staring, it really is me. woofy if you're that good at shampooing away mud maybe you can do something with my hair? Had it done yesterday with extra lowlights....mmm, too low methinks, tut....but you can't be a bleached trollop all your life can you?

<pauses for Spanish mutterings>

I'll wait & see if it fades a bit before I do anything drastic...I'll just have to wear a lighter coloured hairnet for now.

I saw that lion video some while ago Kit, it's lovely.

must whooosh, things to do before the weather goes bazooms up....

<whooshes back in>

well bless my cotton socks, we're leaders of fashion!!
we've only been imitated by her Madge

wahey, top news on the retirement front, went to see Mr Big yesterday ready to wheedle and plead to be allowed to retire while still in my, ahem, youth... and to my shock he instantly offered me an utterly humongous payoff if I would go asap and never let my fat pay cheques darken his door again. So now I just have to get the pension department to tell me where I stand, but hopefully I shall be unemployed by autumn and free to roam the streets at my leisure

Good for you Jno and Mr Woofgang ...best days work we ever did ...although I do sometimes wonder how I found the time to go to work ! And in spite of having time to do all the things I said I would do once I retired I still live in the complete muddle that I have always lived in !
yes, that's great for both of you but you're still going to have to do the night shift jno... we need someone with friends in high places to keep an eye on Vinny to make sure he's not sneaked that Nicole trollop in here or it'll be 'Orf with his doo-dahs....'

that's true, Robinia, after narly 40 years of antisocial sleeping hours I'm not sure I'll ever be able to slip into a regular pattern. So I shall keep up my vigilante duties even when I become rich.
Evening All hope you are all well.

Cracked it Jno thanks just had a practise. It's easy when you know how isn't it?
Gosh - can anyone send me a food parcel as this damned fuel strike is causing havoc here. We are only a small island with no reserves (they are supposed to come in every day on the ferries), but now the petrol is running out and so is the food in the Supermarkets and my car is in the garage so I cannot panic buy. When the bottled gas runs out we are stuck, and the poor people who have to have water delivered by lorry, it doesn't bare thinking about. The whole island depends on transport. It's getting beyond a joke and you can bet that the local farmers who will sell their own products will bump the prices up, and they'll never come down again. Even our electricity is run on oil.

I agree with you RobiI hate solid blonde hair, have always had natural streaks, and when they ran out have had high and low lights put in. Oh gosh, there's another thing, I'll be completely grey at the end of this strike.

I do hope Sky TV isn't brought in on lorries!!!
oh poop, I'd just posted you a nice big hairy spider neti that was bounding up my stairs 2 at a time...it'll need a hearty meal by the time it gets there...

I wish they'd make their flippin' minds up about the weather...for days they said tomorrow would be wet so I thought I needn't water tonight...now I see we're only having one spot at 4pm.....tut....

lovely chair(s) Jude....erm, can you sit on a hard chair, haha?
neti, I am airmailing you 350 British clubbers, hope you can fricassee them with some fava beans and a nice chianti.
Actually no I don't like hard chairs Robi I have cushions on them but took them off to photo. :o)
