Half Head Of Highlights?

i am a bit baffled by what these are and the only conclusion I have come up with seeing as I don't have half a head is that they use one of those rubber hats that they then pull your hair through the holes with a crochet like hook, am I right or am I totally off the mark

It usually means just the crown and top part of head ..I think....

Murray is right - they only do (like it says) the top half of your head.

The rubber hat thing is used whether you have full or half, in my experience.
