i started a mc on 16th july and bled for 2days like a lightish period and spotted 2 days.. my pregnancy hormones by this time had gone down to 86

had no bleeding for 4 days then started like another period which lasted 4 days then nothing for 4days now today have started spotting red again which im sure will trun into a proper flow in a day or 2

how long should it go on for like this... i hate it.. its a constant reminder of what we have lost after it has took us 3 yrs to get to this point

ive had no more bloods done and doc was going to send me for a scan then changed his mind...

when the levels have gone right down will the bleeding then stop is that how it works?

No, it doesn't work like that and it may take months for your hormone levels to return to normal.

However your periods may well return to normal before the hormones.

I just have to re iterate, you will have to be patient...there are no short cuts.

so do you think the doc is right in not sending me for a scan cos to be honest ive lost a lot of faith in them at the min especially those at the hospital as they never told me anything...

also is it best not to have sex until i get a proper period?

cos every time i think the bleeding is over with then it starts all over again... thats even if i can figure out whats my period or still the miscarriage .....would i have more than a week of no bleeding to be safe to have sex
If your hormones are falling and you have bled, then I cannot see the point of a scan.

Have sex whenever you feel like it now.

thanks for your help you have put my mind at ease a little.... was worrying with all the starting and stopping wether id get infections and add more worry to the situation... i have to go back to docs in september to be refered back to hospital and hopefully they will give me some more clomid

if you remember i was always posting about bleeding inbetween periods and ive got it in my head that my progesterone or other hormone imbalance was maybe the cause of the mc.. what do you think of the chances of ahving another mc on clomid?
impossible to say honey.
when you say "safe" to be having sex do you mean safe healthwise (no problems as far as i can see) or safe as in not getting PG? if you mean the latter, and you don't want to try again immediately, there is no safe time really, you could get pregnant, so if you do want to tr y again anytime would be ok. I know it's not the same but when i lost my daughter (stillborn at 27 weeks) i bled for about 3 weeks thena period 8 weeks after, then another 6 weeks before a period. When i lost my son this year, i bled for nearly 3 weeks, then a period weeks later and now nothing for six weeks.
There is "anecdotal" evidence that after you have had a pg or miscarriage, you are more likely to get pregnant again as your body now knows what to do. How true this is i don't know, but i was pg with my son after a month of trying, when it had taken me 9 years to concieve my daughter.

safe as in hlth wise.... ive heard your more fertile after a mc and im hoping i fall quick and on my own without clomid

i fell on the the 3rd round and was only perscribed it as i was classed as unexplained infrtility so it was to give ovulation a boost....if i dont then doc is refering me back to hospital in september

its just the bleeding on and off thats doing my head in... so really i need about 2 weeks of no bleeding before i can class bleeding after that as a period?
