Hi. I have metaplastic carcinoma and am about to embark of radiotherapy tomorrow. I had a lumpectomy in November. Is there anyone out there who has also been given radiotherapy for this cancer, if so, how did you get on? I am wondering if it will help me.
Any info. greatly appreciated.
From a slightly apprehensive

hi ttfn. I am almost at the end of my radiotherapy treatment now! 3 more to go. Feel very tired all the time and sore but gather after 2-3 weeks the side-effects should be gone.
I have joined the metaplastic cancer group on facebook and am getting lots of caring support from them. I can't believe how many women have this rare type of cancer. Somehow it helps to not feel alone.
Thank you for your kind messages.

Hello deanna, good to hear from you, I have been checking daily for updates. Wednesday will be a milestone for you then. I do hope that the side affects are soon over with. Glad the FB group is helping - it is quite another thing to get support from people who are experiencing the same as you. Take care xx
Glad to hear form you Deanna. Sorry you've had some side effects but the worst is over now and you're nearly finished with them, so the summer should be much nicer once they've worn off. Glad you're getting the support you deserve and that you found the FB group. Keep well and keep us informed of how you are:)
Well, deanna, by my arithmetic it is a big day for you today :)

Great stuff and well done. Hope you can enjoy staying at home tomorrow and get some rest in xx
For deanna. Not much, but it means a lot to so many people........
