Fat Legs
4 Answers
Hi
I have got a new job just before christmas in a shop so i am now standing up all day but can standing up all the time make your legs get fatter?
I used to walk everywhere i went and was always out and about but since i moved there isn't much chance of walking to work or the shops or anything like that and although my legs have never been thin and nice i think standing up all day they seem to have got bigger! I have taken up jogging again recently a couple of times a week to help with the exercise part of my life change but i don't want my legs to get any fatter!
Thanks

Jogging was just for my general fitness which has lapsed since i moved here.

Yes......particularly if you have varicose veins.
Blood "pools" when you are standing for a long period of time and as tenrec pointed out, it is due to fluid retention.
