She's recently started to use a walking stick and it's obvious she's in pain. She's been sent for two scans in recent weeks.

Any kind of growth in the abdomen can give rise to hip pain if its in the right/wrong place....sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear

It could be that the sheaf is a ready made up one that the doctor hands out to those who have a problem in that area. It might include another diagram of muscles in that area for example.

I was going to say similar to Lazygun and Woofgang. It was her private consultation to ask about what she wanted (regardless of what she told anyone else).

I've had handouts before now about conditions, medications etc... giving further information. Patient UK seems to be a popular site to print off information to give to patients for more information. I've had them for various things.

I presume she still has a vagina and womb -they don't shrivel and disappear with age you know. Why don't you ask the elderly woman in question?
