Not A Pretty Subject - Internal Piles Or Bowel Cancer?
22 Answers
This is not a pleasant post, but I don't know you and none of you know me so here goes. Over a year ago things changed. Although I still go to the loo at the same time, about an hour after I get out of bed, now my poo sort of explodes out in a blast of wind. I never feel finished and my bum always feels full. I have even wrapped my finger in loo paper and inserted it a little way and there's always poo on the paper (sorry). There are no piles outside, but my bum seems to "hang down" for want of a better phrase. There's no blood, no itching, no weight loss and I'm not more tired than usual. I daren't have sex in case I break wind and something, er, happens - because I always feel as if there's something about to happen. I went to the doctor when this first started but he thought I was just paranoid because my dad and father-in-law have had bowel and rectum cancer. Is there any sign I can look for or anything I can try to put things right before I go to a different doctor? I've looked on the internet, which has of course terrified me. I'm not a man and I'm not over fifty, which is one of the questions the websites seem to focus on. I'm posting this now before I chicken out. Thanks in advance for any help....
