I had my last period about 3 years ago. On Tuesday I started bleeding, it is quite heavy. All smears up to date and clear. Should I be worried?

Try not to worry....sometimes you can have too much information and make yourself worry unnecessarily. xx
Fybroids are common harmless growths in the womb. 1 in 4 of us have them and they can be sen on an ultra scan. I used to go for a scan along with the pregnant ladies to have mine measured. Eventually once PM they shrink and disappear.
