Coronavirus Letter From Nhs
27 Answers
I have received a letter informing me as 'more vulnerable' to take additional precautions etc - these will impact on the entire household. However, I am not included in any of the vulnerable lists. I had treatment for breast cancer which was completed last March. I rang GP surgery and receptionist said she didn't know why I had received the letter and that they did not send letters out. I would be very grateful if anyone can help clarify this situation as I don't know who to contact for information as I thought that GPs would have provided names of those at most risk.

I am 67, stage 1 breast cancer with treatment completed last March/April therefore all traces of chemo drugs have left the system. I have the flu jab past two years (as has my husband but no letter there) - letter (from NHS but also has GP surgery address) - informs me that the NHS has identified me as 'someone at risk of severe illness should I catch COVID-19'. The letter then goes on to list those at most risk and specifically lists - 'people with specific cancers as well as those who are 'undergoing active chemotherapy …'
I don't fall into any of the categories mentioned - hence the query and stress! Is anyone else in similar position?
Many thanks again for your support at this time.
