No treatment avaiable asit is a viral infection.
Drink plenty of fluids, but NOT fruit flavoured as these would stimulate your salivary glands.
Paracetamol or Ibuprofen for pain.
If you are a male (lozzylou does not give me a hint) then watch for swelling of rhe testicles, as if they are involved you will need steroids.
Good luck.

I got the mumps a few years ago at the grand old age of 56 . Quite frankly having a baby was less painful .Childhood ailments you contract as an adult are much worse . I looked like Quasimodo and it left me slightly deaf for ages . Try ice packs on the swelling ,drink plenty of water and take an anti inflammatory every four hours .Have you seen the doctor ?
He may be able to give you a stronger painkiller than you can get over the counter .I had Diclofenac. Hope you soon feel better .
