There seems to be a nasty strain of flu going about presently, which is not piggy related..............one of my sisters and her family have had it for around 2 weeks now....most feeling a bit better after about a week, but it knocks the stuffing out of you, apparently.........(they live in Surrey)......
sounds like the same symptoms redcrx and tamirra are having...........take as salla mentions and if it persists for too long, go and see your GP for him/her to check you over.
If you ring the swine flu hotline, they may send the medicine and you dont need it.
Tamirra and Redcrx, i hope you get better soon xx

"which is not piggy related.............".........How do you know?
".take as salla mentions and if it persists for too long, go and see your GP for him/her to check you over. "........don't do that....you will spread the infection.
"If you ring the swine flu hotline, they may send the medicine and you dont need it."......or you don't contact them and you DID need it.

Grumpy old git :0)
They know cause the one that got it first went and was checked out by their GP........the other members of the family caught it from them...........
and how many people are ringing up the flu line, thinking they have swine flu....getting the tamiflu, which incidentally has not been tested that it may have side effects on certain people, and taking it when they just have a winter flu or a common bad cold, is all.

A lad at the shop where I work rang in sick the other day saying he'd got tamiflu, the supervisor (very confused) said "Don't you mean you've got swine flu and have been prescribed tamiflu?" He replied "No, I've got tamiflu, it's a new sickness bug going around" I don't think the supervisor kew quite what to say to that!

I've no qualms whatsoever Lottie in getting the swine flu jab - first in the queue for that mate - gotta keep myself fit!! But, if I do get the actual Swine Flu (or at least suspect it, without it being swabbed) - then I will be very reluctant to take Tamiflu - I might just opt to 'sweat it out'.
Even Salla has doubts, sqad
