went dr yesterday for pain in elbow.told dr about my ITP and also Asthma.he has for some reason gven me a antidepresent(in def not depressed).but on the info sheet it says not to be taken if patient has a blood disorder(which i do).
so would it be possible to get the prescription cost back if i hand the tablets back?

This seems to have done the trick, touch wood. But when I reported back to my own GP, he said 'You were taking aspirin every day??' I didn't bother pointing out that he was the idiot who prescribed them to be taken daily.
Moral: sometimes a fresh face, like an emergency doctor, will spot things that a regular, but lazy, GP will not.

yes Lottie if it had been any more of an emergency, I would deffo have done a 999.
as it was, getting the doctor out was a better decision as when he was taken to hospital, he was expected and went straight into a bed and treatment rather than needing to be assessed at A and E and having to wait in the queue
