No idea Jack. There have been suggestions it could have been a horse fly but I never actually felt being bitten, just remember having a bite.

I must admit I'm pretty proud of them Anne. Not everyone can show off pictures of the hole in the leg.

I do recall a few users on here urging me to get it looked at when I first mentioned it and me thinking, oh it's just a little bite. More fool me!

Ratter - there was all sorts of crap coming out of it at first. I can't promise a different life form wasn't in there.

Flip - I could lie to make you feel better or tell the truth and confirm I was bitten somewhere in deepest, darkest Oxfordshire.

That's right. I asked on the Sunday and the next day was BH Monday so I considered it just best to wait for th GP on Tuesday. Should have gone to the hospital there and then.

I scratched it when it was just a tiny little bite, as you do but it never got a head on it or anything like that. I've been bitten tons of times and never had a single problem before. Was just unlucky I think this time.
