Don't know but I bought a device that uses light to help prevent my son's cold sores from becoming horrid. It wasn't cheap but he had 2 come up and it really shortened the life of them by about a week!!
I get them if I am out in the sun for any length of time. Not just on my lips but all around the mouth area. The only thing that works for me is Zovirax. I can't think that food would prevent them. They are caused by a virus that is always present as gets activated by certain factors, usually colds, sunshine or being run down! Horrid things.
Yes Steve always slaps Zovirax on but this is 3 times as effective. It uses a waveband of light that works on the surrounding area stimulating the immune response to the virus.
Is it expensive Yoga? What is it called?
Hi Lottie it's called Virulite and I think I got it for about £20-odd by shopping around. Please note Ed I am nothing to do with this company (wish I was!)
Google it Lottie, will send more details to you if you can't find it x
i used to get them quite badly when i'm stressed out - and use zovirax or supermarket version which is just as good but often £2-4 cheaper (same active ingredient)

i was told taking vitc+zinc supplement would help and i have been for some time now and over the last few years or so i've hardly had any, only the odd one if i have a cold but not every time.
No.
I don't get many cold sores on the lip but when I feel one starting with a tickley itch then I usually dab them with the wife's perfume and the alcohol in it soon kills them off.
LOL at Sqad - Tell it like it is!
