tramadol 50mg

Ive been prescribed the above because the cocodamol 30/500 doesn't really do much for my pain. I've just taken my first one but Ive been reading about them, and I'm a bit scared now. The cocodamol make me a bit fuzzy, but by all accounts these seem to be much stronger. And Ive had a glass of wine (it is Friday after all). Has anyone any experience of these tablets?

Occasionally I get a splitting headache, so lay off the Tramadol and take just paracetamol for a day, hopefully on a day when I'm not doing much, as I know that prolonged use of it can cause headaches. It's the only painkiller I can take, I've tried the coedine medications, and they just make me sick.
I was prescribed co-codamol for severe back pain but they made me so woozy that I could only take them in the evening, and not during the day. Then they started to give me a headache and the doctor said that co-codomal can do that, so replaced them with tramadol, 50mg, 1 or 2 tabs up to 4 times a day. I only take one tab twice a day, they dont make me woozy at all, but arent as good for pain relief.
