Getting older :(

Sadly, Johnson's baby cream is no longer cutting the mustard and the skin on my face is really quite dry. Can anyone recommend a cheap and cheerful moisturiser that's not too heavy or oily (I don't wear make up and never put soap on my face). Thanks from a 42 year old who is suddenly realising that she is not a teenager anymore!

Nivea is probably your best bet. I like the Body Shops Vitamin E cream... It smells like baby lotion :-)

Olay , the basic one, is quite good and not too pricey, your skin needs daily moisturising sher, no matter what age you are!.....

I use Oil of Ulay, sorry Olay, I'm 42 and have been using it for years (cos it's cheap). I've just tried the slightly tinted one, not bad.

I use Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. Not the cheapest but can often be picked up on the January sales. It can look oily if you wear a smidgen too much, but a little goes a long way and it can always be thinned out to remove the oily look.

I use Body Shop Vit E cream...it's lovely and does the job x

The new No7 range is quite good I have found, I'm not sure of all the different ones (as I have very dry skin), I use their day cream, night cream and cleansing balm.
At the moment they're selling little testers of their products so it might give you an idea of if it's any good for you?

I also think Lush is a really great place to go for quality products that aren't too expensive, they will also advise you on what's best for your skin. :)

rockyracoon, I use the tinted one in Winter, it gives a slight glow!....and not too expensive!......maybe give it a try Sher........

Just having an off day DT - felt like it should have been Friday all day (I know what's caused it, just need to shake the feeling off). Do need the poncier moisturiser though (but Hereford is hardly a shopping mecca).

This review goes to an Australian website but there's plenty of evidence on the net to show that Aldi USED to sell the product here:

However I've come across one or two references to Aldi discontinuing that range. Even so, if you're passing your local branch (166 Eign Street
Hereford) it might be worth looking in to see if they still sell it (or something similar).

just buy a basic moisturiser for dry skin sher, anything is better than nothing, although Olay should be easily available!............
