Last week I bought a shampoo and conditioner that I don't usually use, and now my head has erupted in a very itch rash. Is there anything I can put on it to relieve the pain...................argh!

Rub some after sun in will make your hair look gross for a while mind!
Take antihistamine.
Look in your medicine cabinet .......have you any steroid creams, ointment or applications?
Question Author
I've got some betnovate sqad, would that work? Thanks all for your replies, I've no aftersun and I've just taken some antihistamines. I want to rip my hair out!
Betnovate will do fine.
Question Author
Muchas gracias sqad.
da nada.
Wasn`t the new Pantene Rocky? I used that a couple of weeks ago and was almost demented with the itch. Only just settling.
Question Author
No, gness although I am allergic to Pantene, found that out years ago, shame as it was really good for my curly hair. It was Tresemme (sp), shame about that too, it was a bargain half price, now it's destined for the bin, it's probably one for you to avoid, we might be allergic to the same ingredient. Just put the Betnovate on, that was a palaver and a half, I think there's more on my head than on the rash.
Question Author
On my hair, not my head, doh!
Wonder if you could slap some calamine lotion on aswell? Or cold natural yoghurt just to take the heat out xxx
My hairdresser told me not to use tresemme and I can't use garnier fructis either, it stings like hell.
Question Author
The betnovate and tablets seem to have worked. Robinia, that Tresemme is going straight in the bin, not sure I've used that Fructis stuff, think I'll avoid. I bought some Simple earlier, hopefully tha will be ok.
Fructis makes my hair feel stickyish..best conditioner everrrr is aussie...mmmmmmmmm xxx
Question Author
See, I don't rate that Aussie stuff, the best I used was Pantene but I'm allergic. The one I used before the Tresemme was Elvive, so after I've used the Simple and hoefully sorted my noggin out I'll return to that.
I liked elvive too xx
Polytar from Boots the chemist is excellent to get rid of the awful itching.
I agree with Kitty^^^, Polytar shampoo is great stuff, it clears up my psoriasis in a couple of days.
Question Author
I've got some TGel, is that the same thing?
Soak your scalp with salt water & leave for 5mins, then rinse off with plain water. Seems you're allergic to something ?
