Teeth moving

A few years ago i had an accident and had to get three teeth removed. on my left side its the two behind the canine, and on my right side it one behind the canine.
Recently my canines have been moving back, and my front teeth are moving forward, why is this?

My orthodontist told me that everybody's teeth move with age in exactly the way you have described. Orthodontics is the only way to counteract this. I have a permanent wire on the back of my front teeth to hold them in the right place!
