I have worked out that I have had just 10 hours sleep since Monday morning,give or take half hr, and it is now Thursday! I am utterly exhausted.I've always been a bad sleeper but even I am struggling this week. I go to bed and just lay there. I get up and read for a while, that doesnt work. Hot bath,hot drink............... nothing.Finally fall asleep around 4am and a few hours later I have to be up.
I've spent the last five months starting work at 3am, usually finishing around 1-2pm. I'm back to my normal hours 7am-5pm, and two lates a week 1-10pm. I haven't slept properly in two weeks :( And I'm grumpy, oh so grumpy
have you tried a little light exercise before bed? perhaps a little yoga or some stretching exercises? also a hot milky drink to take to bed with you and then just read in bed until you feel your eyes going dry and you start feeling sleepy. This is what I do when I'm going through one of my no sleeping phases. Other than that, is there something on your mind keeping you awake? are you thinking about work/shopping list anything? someone told me once that if you write it all down on a piece of paper before lights out, you'll rest better knowing that you no longer have to worry about trying to remember. ALthough the only effect it had on me was worrying whether i'd included everything on the list. Perhaps consider taking some kalms or nytol for a couple of days to see if that helps. good luck xxx
