Stand up straight!!

Any ABers have Scoliosis or know someone close to you has it? I was diagnosed at 13 and I have coped with it since, but lately I have been thinking about my condition in a whole new light...I will be visiting a physician again for the first time in 5 years to face the reality of my (most-likely) worsened condition. Anyone else suffer from this as well? Have a scoliosis-related personal story?

My daughter was diagnosd with scoliosis when she was 18months old.  We had to ensure that she did everything evenly - like sitting on a chair to put on her socks, and never to stand on or raise one leg.  Lots of other things also but she's now nineteen and there's not a trace of it.

I had one leg shorter than the other and limped quite badly which was causing the beginnings of scoliosis, so I had my leg lengthened, which is a very complicated (and quite tedious!) procedure but did the trick.  I still get back pain if I stand up for a long time, but it's pretty much sorted really.
