agree with daisya about being too warm - if I have nightmares, taking a blanket off cures them.
really awful, you have my sympathy. I had no sleep at all a couple of nights ago, felt absolutely shattered yesterday and managed to get around four hours last night. I'm off to bed now to try get a bit more sleep.
Can you buy Hops to put inside your pillow? I'm always trying to find something which will work for my 89 year old Mum, she hardly sleeps and I do feel sorry for her as I just zonk out when my head touches the pillow ...........
I use melatonin and OCD lights to help with insomnia... and it does a bit. Bad nights do happen on occasion though.

OOPS... S.A.D. lights (Seasonal Affective Disorder)... sorry, very distracted.
She says not Headwreck, but I have sometimes caught her nodding off in front of TV when I pop in (she watches it ALL day - a couple of hours is enough to get me nodding off!) She says her mind is racing, she is thinking of absolutely everything in the night. I can "blank" my mind to get to sleep but she can't. Maybe she doesn't get enough fresh air or exercise now ...

What about a hot toddy. It worked for my Dad, and it was recommended by his doctor.
