Hi Guys

For the past few weeks I've had a really dry mouth.  I am drinking water all of the time but as soon as I've drank it my mouth is bone dry.

Any suggestions?

It could be any number of reasons but firstly you must make sure it ain't diabetes.  A severe thirst, dry mouth, weight loss and tiredness are symptoms of this - my husband was diagnosed a year ago after months of the above. He's feeling 100% now, by the way. I'd hate to worry you but you must check this one out first.  Dry mouth could simply be an allergy or something. Good luck.

Are you taking any medication? A lot of fairly commonplace medicines - pain killers, etc. - can cause dry mouth.

If it helps you, my mouth is always dry when my allergies are on (which they are since the beginning of May), so it could just be allergies but do see your doctor as suggested just to be sure.

i agree sunflower. i was diagnosed just under 12 months ago, and they were my symptoms. i felt i had a genuine reason for each of the syptoms and had the shock of my life when i was told. some pharmacys offer diabetes testing now and it's well worth getting checked. i too feel much better, i dont put it down to old age now!
It could be thrush.  You get it when you are a bit run down.
