My finger didn't feel so bad yesterday so I managed to convince myself that it was getting better.

This morning it was agony and I couldn't bend it. I phoned NHS 24 and they told me to go to the out of hours centre. I am now home with some Flucloxacillin 500mg and some chocolate covered raisins to cheer me up.

Thanks for all your advice

Funny - no.

Painfully - very.

I am not convinced that the antibiotics are doing their stuff.

I appreciate AB and all the people who take the time to answer all the questions posted. It's nice to talk something over with another person - sometimes reassurance is all that is needed.

RATTER....I object strongly to your post and intend to report it...it will be the first post that I have reported.
Perhaps you can substantiate that libellous post.

What would I gain from giving incorrect advice?
The correct advice would have been to Wolf... go and see your GP.
I always thought that diabetics needed to see a doctor if any of their digits or any peripheral area had swelling and soreness, thats what my type 1 stepson was told.
yes daffy,,that is my understanding ,
You give dodgy and careless advice, Sqad.
How dare one disagree with our "medical expert" :-)
RATTER..........maybe best left alone at the moment ?
