Grasscarp - you are right in saying £200 but only hubby and wife £100 each.

How about the cow-wallapers I know who pretend to be separated - £400 going into that household. god help me god.

Zacs - I have received mine - £200 per person.

So £200 for the person who lives in one house

and £200 for the "separated" person who lives in a "buroo drop" in the other house.

So JJ, they are classed as separated because they each have separate addresses.


Unless the powers that be are told that isn't the case then the rule applies.

There are two different allowances;
The Winter Fuel Payment paid to everyone born on or before 5 June 1952 which is a lump sum payment of £100, £200 or £300

the fuel allowance for a married couple is 100 pounds each
some say 200 pounds each
my next door neighbour a mrs b got 200 pounds yesterday

£200. It WAS £250 but this government reduced it by £50. I've no doubt it will go completely one day.

Ah but what if if three people in the same household are of the right age ?

I suspect they are trying to make it a payment for the property rather than the person, but don't like to admit it.
