This morning I woke up with a worried feeling after a dream in which I had sold my house and bought another house without actually having seen it. In the dream I was in the last stages of moving everything out of my own house, to go to this place that I had never seen. Are there any Freudians out there who could tell me what kind of anxiety this dream might represent? Or is it just a straightfoward fear of getting older and losing independence? Opinions would be welcomed.
Its a reflection of your state of mind.... So they say!
You didnt watch or hear anything similar that could have fueled your dream? I do have a dictionary somewhere... (I like all that kid of stuff)
To have a dream analysed properly you need to give some circumstances immediately preceding the dream -are you thinking of moving something in your life -this could be anything including job or relationship. The house represents your Consciousness -downstairs in the basement your sub-conscious and upstairs and the attic your capacity for psychic understanding.
The dream certainly indicates there are uncertainties in your life and something bothering you that you maybe need to look at . A proper dream analyst would do talking therapy around this and its a very effective therapy.
Dreams are our subconscious mind's way of sorting through the information it has received, and making some sense of it - which does not always make sense to us on waking.
It suggests (and I am no Freudian!) that you have some potential changes in mind which you may be thinking about.

You have come to the right place.......AB is knee deep in Freudians and posts will flow......whether or not they are of any relevance is open to debate...........
To dream that you or someone is moving in or out of a place signifies your desire or need for change. It may also mean an end to a situation or relationship; you are moving on. Alternatively, it indicates your determination and issues regarding dependence/independence.//
mamyalynne, I don't either but Ian Wallace, psychologist and media dream expert, has made a nice career out of it, so some people believe.

I wasn't going or dare, to mention it, but it reminds me of my last night's dream. Problem is, that there are Mods about and it would be pulled...............no, on second thoughts i would be suspended.
Far from being an expert, I do believe that dreams are sorting out your sub-conscious mind. To be honest though if my dreams represented something I should be committed.
