I had wax impacted in mine due to earplugs (used to live in a flat with noisy neighbours) and it was very painful. Needed micro suction eventually and they were infected. Try gently placing cotton wool not too far into ears (just so they fit in but not pushed right into the canal). It might be enough to deaden noise and your brain could eventually treat it as "white noise" and become "immune" to it.
Hi there, I have been using earplugs every night for the past 15 years, due to unfortunately having wooden windows frames in my windows and living on a main road in London with heavy continuous traffic, buses, sirens etc 24/7, all throughout the night and I have tried and tested all the earplugs on the market, the best one by far are the foam earplugs by EAR. Take it from me they are the best and cut out all noise aiding to the best nights sleep. Whatever you do don't bother buying them from the chemist as you only get 2 pairs for £4 !! The main supermarkets don't seem to sell these particular ones? Go to Amazon.co.uk and you can get 20 pairs for £3 ! Excellent value. That is where I get mine from. Each new set of earplugs last me roughly 3 to 4 days so the 20 pairs will easily last you a month and a half. Get some quick and have a great nights sleep zzzzzzzz
