and it is' in the family. I am for the doctors next Monday week - you have to get an appointment with the doctor to get an appointment with a blood nurse - so we'll see.
When you say weeing a lot, do you mean that you want to go to the loo often or do you mean that when you go, it`s like Niagara Falls?
Haven't you had this problem for quite some time?

I have had it but then it goes away for weeks on end. when it does happen - it happens "frequently" like 8 o'clock then 10 minutes later

going to the park with maxie - relieving myself before I go then just only make it home.
The NHS choices web site is excellent conne.
I have the same problem Jenny!
I have appointment for diabetes tests in April I think.
Wake up lit if times in the night and dying of thirst so get through bottle of water through the night.
Maybe you have over sensitive bladder syndrome. I don`t know much about diabetes - I only know what to do when someone goes 'hypo' Best to get the proper diagnosis as you are doing.
My hubby ho has type 2 is always hungry, supposedly a symptom.
Lloyds chemist do a free diabetes test for type 2
I find that as soon as I go out in the cold I need a wee for some reason.

My dad and uncle had diabetes (the more minor type) and neither had symptoms. It was detected in other tests.

Why don't you pop to the chemist, many do tests.

Yours, if present would almost certainly be Type 2 and the main symptoms would be tiredness, lack of energy and maybe passing more water (the latter would be at quite an established presence of the disease.) You might even be putting on weight.
Your water works symptoms are not necessarily typical of Diabetes.

Hi Sqad - I think you are right in thinking I don't have diabetes (hopefully) I am never thirsty but even tonight I call myself Pissy Galore instead of Pussy Galore.

I can honestly say within 2 hours of tonight's only checking I have "***" a litre of water. That's not including when sista is here.

I did have it back some time ago then it cleared up.

I am for the doctor next oh whatever next monday week. You have to go to doctor to get an appointment with the nurse. So will ask then.

However, in saying above - TG - I can go to bed and relieve myself for the night and that's it until the morning. I haven't a clue.
Take a wee sample with you. I had the same symptoms and it was a urine infection which cleared up with antibiotics
Jenny...has this got worse since you stopped drinking alcohol?
Less likely but still possible, there's something pressing on your bladder.
