Elective C-Section

I was told at 32-week scan that baby was lying in "reverse transverse" position and if this remained the case at 36 weeks I would be booked in for a C-section at around the 39-week mark.

Having been examined twice since that scan, following my fall on Monday and by the Midwife yesterday, it seems the baby has turned and the head is down (for now).

The question I am asking is, can I still justifiably ask for an elective C-section and for them to perform the complete removal of my reproductive organs at the same time? I will need TAH / BSO at some soonish point in time anyway, due to strong family history of malignancy, big fibroids and monthly cycles that significantly affect my quality of life. Additionally, I have suffered a lot during this pregnancy and I never want to risk another pregnancy.

I just wondered if they still do the removal at the same time as delivering a baby by C-section?

Some of my posts are not going in right - do think it is the keyboard - two letters are sticking together hence the wrong words. Later on I will give keyboard a good cleaning.

Have you had your baby

By the way my nephew's wife stomach is like a bread board - that's after 3 c-sections.
^^^^PS She loved them - a wee cut and the baby is lying beside you.

Same for for friend who had 2 - loved them too.
I can't imagine "loving" a c-section. Lil pasta was an emergency...and I really regret not being able to hold her and feel the newness of her. But, it probably saved her life. Recovery, as others have said, is a lot more difficult. And my tummy never recovered. Some are just lucky I guess.
