The simple answer to your question about risking malnutrition is no. I am vegetarian, 30+ years and I am not malnurished, no need to be concerned for us TTT, move on.
pastafreak. You still seem to be under the very dubious opinion that meat-based diets are in some way healthier. My friends and acquaintances in the local Gujurati communities give the lie to that myth, as indeed do I!

We do Not Need meat. And not eating it improves our relationships with all our fellow-creatures, an added bonus.
yes absolutely they are! Like people who go to the dentist, take hot baths and showers, wear clothes, use medicine, use contraception.....shall i go on?
Whatever you eat you are taking a life of some sort.
Tonight I am eating a schnitzel ... I have never said 'there-there' to a schnitzel.
bainbrig and maydup...tell me how you get vitamin B12, and Vitamin D3. I'm not questioning how healthy you may or may not be. But I'm really curious how you get those nutrients that are not found in plants.
apparently b12 is cultured from bacteria

and D3 from lichen...and of course you can get it from sunlight....even in the UK

Not a clue, pastafreak. All I know is that I don’t get it, but I’m still in fair health.
No idea either, but every couple of years I get the GPs nurse to do some bloods just to check any deficiencies and so far all have come back as fine.

Probably cheese, yoghurt, soya milk or a selection from this long list pastafreak.

Who "designed" us? You think vegetarians are disobeying God's law or something?

Humans used to have to eat mammoths because they weren't yet smart enough to have developed agriculture, one of the great leaps forward in history. Of course not everyone's made that leap yet.
