so how would it work for me? I am allergic to wind pollinated grasses and trees. I have a feeling that most hay fever allergies are to wind pollinated plants which bees would be less likely to visit
Well it has helped me no end over the last 15 years, used to suffer terribly with hay fever, no longer take tablets and only sometimes get it very very mildly when the pollen count is off the chart. Sadly it will be too late for it to have any effect this year, you have to take it all year round for it to work. Must be local honey and if you begin now with a dessert spoon every day you may well see a huge improvement in your symptoms next year.
Sorry, I have no idea why local honey. Many years ago there was a Doctor writing in one of the magazines who was recommending honey for hay fever and he said it must be local but why I do no know, sorry.
riptide, hay fever does come and go for some reason....it used to be said it happened in 7 year cycles but I don't think that there is any proof of that either.
I suffered with terrible hay fever after we moved to a new area. I took local honey for a very short time, just a teaspoon a day, and I haven't suffered since - and this was maybe 8 or 9 years ago. But be warned, when I first started taking it I had the worst hay fever ever for a few days.
