The older I get the less I like winter. I think I am suffering from the SAD syndrome.
Had a very sleepless night feeling anxious and butterflies in stomach. One or two things next few weeks not particularly looking forward to.

Just wondering if there are any herbal products which may help.

Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks.

It's probably all in the mind, but I find Dr Bach's rescue remedies are good for low level anxiety.

Thanks I shall check out Dr Bach
I find a Coors Light can sooth the soul.
Cold weather and short dull days/long nights can be depressing; but on the bright side it's been fairly mild so far. But just wait until Spring when you realise all the bugs and vermin, that one expected to die off in Winter, are still around in number to aggravate you.
Before any young people read this post "DON'T DO DRUGS"

But after is just fine ;-)
Things always seem gloomier this time of the year. Try the herbal remedies, like Dr. Bach first. If no improvement after a couple of weeks, I should see your GP. Try to keep your mind busy on other things that make you feel good.

Will ring GP Monday am. Had a word with 111 who will send their file across. I am on Atorvastatin , the side effects of which list anxiety, depression and panic attacks. Also loss of appetite.

Seems strange after nearly a year on them, still, decided to stop them for a few days. Meanwhile, as suggested, and recommended by chemist I got some Dr Back rescue remedy.

Four drops on tongue whenever required.

Thanks everyone.
You could try cannabidiol, SK. But each to their own.

On my list to research Spath, thanks.
Vitamin D3
High B complex
Magnesium...various types, some will relieve constipation
Vitamin C
A brand i would recommend is cbdistillery.

Thanks pasta, and spath again.
Should say...I'd look at diet/nutrition before rescue remedy...though it can help...or cod oil.

Looks like a trip to chemist or Holland and Barratt
NOT cod!!
CBD

Remember SK, if you worry about something before you're to experience it ("not particularly looking forward to. ") then you're only making yourself suffer twice!

Try and take each moment as it comes.
For any CBD i highly recommend giving these guys a call (hemp botanics) holland and barrets is a rip off.

Lady at hempbotanics (portobello road)will help you find what you're after and give advice.

Great suggestions. For now I am going with DrBach. I shall just pop to chemist for some vitamin D supplements.

Just had amazing nights sleep. Feel absolutely fine this morning.

I am convinced the statins were the root cause. I shall go to the GP to take advice on statin dosage. Meanwhile Dr Boch and vitamin D3 pills. I shall take a 15 min walk mid-day.

I would like to thank everyone here for their time . advice and support.
