...for a month to see if it makes a difference in how I feel mood and health wise.

I use almond milk anyway but I've bought loads of dairy free alternatives and I like most meat free burgers, sausages etc. Some supermarkets do packets of grains and pulses with different flavourings such as Mexican which I quite like but it's all making me feel quite bloated.

This is my 2nd day and I would really like to keep going but I'm having trouble with the bloatedness.

Any advice on where I'm going wrong and what I should be doing? Will it settle down eventually?

That's a really good point Lady CG. I comsume a fair amount of live yoghurt, but when I'm prefering plant based food I should substitue. How do you take the probiotics ? You mention a capsule?
Yes, they're called Nu U Platinum Series Advanced Bio-Cultures Complex and I bought them Amazon.

There are other brands but these are the best I've tried.
if it's only your second day it mightn't have anything to do with a change of diet.
Have you tried Greggs vegan sausage rolls, they are great !
//When your intestinal flora is depleted it can cause bloating, gas and IBS which can be linked to fatigue, poor concentration and low mood.

"...they're called Nu U Platinum Series Advanced Bio-Cultures Complex"//

Do you really need them?

"Greggs vegan sausage rolls,..."

Ye Gods !!!!!!
Yes Greggs vegan sausage rolls !! I repeat, they are great ...
Its quite worrying how many vegans there are appearing everywhere - you may not have noticed but if they all had a big red V on their foreheads you would soon realise. I have no problem with what they want to eat but when they want to interfere with my lifestyle then they can go take a running jump. What is the worst thing in my humble opinion is the ones who insist on feeding their dogs and cats a vegan diet - vegetarian is bad enough but to me it is downright cruelty to subject a pet to their choices when they claim it is cruel to harm animals.
Divegirl is spot on. Veganism (or vegetarianism) are not fashion statements; they represent a philosophy, a different way of living, a way of viewing our fellow creatures that is, apparently, alien to many.

Going Vegan, be serious for a moment, just why would you?
Baldric, you already asked that question on the first page.

This is Tig's thread, let her choose the questions.
No idea why anyone does it to be honest.
I’ve had veggie burgers given me by my sister at hers and tasty as they were the salt content alone is far more contradictory to one’s health.
Vegan seems far too draconian to me but each to their own.
Cows and bees produce what they do naturally with no death, bleeding or suffering so why you’d deny yourself those too is beyond me.

Fair play jno, I never got an answer though did I?
she isn't asking for advice on whether to do it, so your question was off topic. And your diddling seems to have strayed here from the canal...
WE had a full run down of dictionary definitions on the Canal thread yesterday.

If all you want to do is stir, just stay in the kitchen.
Tigs seems to be experimenting to see how or if it affects mood and health, she hasn't made claims about principles etc, just wants to see whether the diet works for her.

Pipe down peeps....as some on my thread have pointed out, I am trying a vegan/plant based diet to see how it effects my health.

I'm not here to dictate to others what to and what not to eat. Also, please don't ridicule me. I've asked about how to calm the bloating down and what may cause it, not opinions on my mentality about choosing to do this for a month.
Tiggs...my daughter is a meat eater but when she eats carbs she bloats.
Tigs, if it is only the 2nd day, you might well be able to identify what has caused it. For my sister, it's lentils (and nothing else whatsoever). Maybe keep a note of anything new and see if you can see any patterns x
