...for a month to see if it makes a difference in how I feel mood and health wise.

I use almond milk anyway but I've bought loads of dairy free alternatives and I like most meat free burgers, sausages etc. Some supermarkets do packets of grains and pulses with different flavourings such as Mexican which I quite like but it's all making me feel quite bloated.

This is my 2nd day and I would really like to keep going but I'm having trouble with the bloatedness.

Any advice on where I'm going wrong and what I should be doing? Will it settle down eventually?

237, I suspect that may well be true... but people are so different, that it may well work for some. Trial and error is generally more helpful than stats.
I’ve been vegetarian for 39 years, and most of my problems stem from whisky (vegetarian!) Took B12 for a few years until an intelligent doctor told me it was a waste of time, so stopped it 20 years back.

My stomach seems to have calmed down now and I'm not eating as much grains and other bulky stuff as I was the first few days.

Thanks all :o)
Good :-) would be interested to see how you feel at the end if you are happy to post xx

A veggie burger Arky ;o)
No a juicy mouth watering cheese burger you could pretend to have some salad on it though, I won't tell. Sound advice from me as usual. ;-)

Haha!

Not keen on veggie burgers tbh so I tend to stick to salads made with pulses and olive oil dressing with salady stuff. I like quinoa as well. Good job I love avocados as well ;o)
Being a little more serious Tigger, good luck with it, I do offer respect but personally I know I just couldn't live without meat.

I hope the test results go well and you do turn out to be a Vegan.

Arks.. not scared of aliens ;-)

pulses are very difficult to digest, some people soak them overnight to reduce the insoluble fibre and make them more digestible, perhaps try having a smaller portion of pulses. Raw food and skins are also difficult for the digestive system to break down, ensure you chew your food well to help your digestive system a bit. You will have bloatedness as pulses produce lots of gas.

Maybe I should've worded the title differently.

"Meat, fish and dairy free diet trial for health purposes for a month".

Is that better?
Just being picky! Changing your diet you can't be expected to throw out your clothes, shoes, handbags etc...

I can't see how a vegan diet could be healthy though.
Tigger call it any damn thing you want, throwing away perfectly good clothes is pointless!
vega diets are usually very low in cholesterol
