I am usually very much a diarrhoea as I have diverticulitis person but have learned to live with it over the years. However the last 2-3 weeks I have gone the opposite a big constipation.

Last time was last Friday and thought I was having a baby. Anyway since I was aware of this have done my best this week to eat plenty of fibre (apart from the saus roll) but nothing yet.

I don't know what to do next and am afraid of a new baby coming LOL

in Sainsburys you can buy figs (which I have never ate before) - do you just get them - cut them up and eat or do you need to cook per se.
Question Author
or shall I try syrup of figs which I can go out and buy from Boots near me
There are loads of products in the chemist that could help you along.
macrogol, buy as Laxado, Movocol or co cosmogol. You can take up to 6 sachets in a day to start with, and after they have worked a maintenance dose of 1 or 2 a night.
I would suggest that you should perhaps visit your doctor, as such a change from your usual pattern might need to be investigated.

if it keeps up Margaret - will do but then again you have to wait for about 4 weeks for an appointment so hopefully things will be better in that time.
If you are not bloated, have passed wind and not in pain.....then don't worry.

I am very bloated Sqad but will take the tablets tonight and I'll be on the move tomorrow hopefully LOL
It'll be a 7 incher...
Try Lactulose. That's what my doctor prescribes me. Even if I don't pass a stool it makes me fart so no bloating.
JJ rather than JJ fluids and plenty of fruit would be my non professional advice.
Use the mathematicians solution:

Work it out with a pencil.
I don't often suffer but when I did a friend told me to
"Have a glass of Bristol Cream before you go to bed and in the morning your troubles will be over"
I did and they were!
My dad swears by rocket leaves.
Do you eat them or insert them ?
