I got a new top denture on Monday which I really needed. Eating meat was becoming uncomfortable and sore.

Since I got my new, improved denture I’m still getting a bit of pain on one side.

I know that I can go back to my dentist if I want, but how long do you think I should give it to settle down on my Gums?

Monday , yesterday ?
Your teeth are like stars, they come out at night....

More than a couple of days, a week?

Yes. Yesterday. Will my gum become used to the different pressure?
I wouldn’t let it go on too long chrissa, maybe contact dentist tomorrow just for advice.
Question Author
I’ll keep an eye on it, if you get my meaning. :)
A few days, a week maximum - then go back for adjustments.

Thanks all. It’s a bit better today. Thursday.
are you using Fixodent or similar? Am just curious, as when I got my new top set I didn't bother and it took me about a week to get them comfy
Question Author
Oh yes. I always use Fixodent.

As I said they’re are getting better but still getting used to the “bite.”
