Sadness (Again)
18 Answers
Today I said goodbye to my brother. Those of you who read my last post will know a little of his passing. I went to the service to be there for his family and my son came with me. We always joked that he was my mum's favourite and she would have been heartbroken about what has happened to her family. However, we will all just have to move on and find our own peace. Thank you all for your support, it is very much appreciated.

Nobody knows, though, what might happen in the future. As far as I can see, your brother made the choices to live, and die, as suited him. And your mum will never be heartbroken about it, as she doesn't know. That is not meant to sound harsh, but just with the hope you can be easier on yourself, without the what-ifs xx

Oh no! So very, very sorry Maggie. It has been a dreadful Winter so far, we have lost 3 friends and others like you are also sorrowing. I have one sister and I don't think I could cope with losing her.

I once read a story of a native American concept of death.
We die three deaths. The first is when our body fails. The second is when nobody alive remembers us any more. The third is when nobody ever speaks of us again.
Know that your brother will still be alive while you continue to honour his memory.
